Bio

Tiara Kinsey-Dadzie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Community and Public Health and
her Master of Public Health with a concentration in Epidemiology from Ohio University’s
main campus in Athens, Ohio. She is currently a PhD student in the College of Social
Work at The Ohio State University. Her research focuses on housing insecurity among
survivors of intimate partner violence (IPV), with a particular interest in ethnic minority
women. Tiara brings professional experience as a domestic violence housing advocate
and is passionate about community-based research, social justice, and developing
sustainable solutions that empower marginalized populations.

Her contributions have been recognized through multiple honors, including the 2025
Community Engaged Graduate Student Award from The Ohio State University for her
commitment to community service, and as co-recipient of the 2025 Selma & Alexander W. Erlen
Graduate Student Award from the College of Social Work at Ohio State, which
honors excellence in community service, academics, and teaching.
