Daniel Do is an Assistant Clinical Professor with the College of Social Work at The Ohio State University. Dan is a Public Health Social Worker and holds Licensed Independent Clinical Social Work licenses in Massachusetts and Vermont. He is a proud OSU alum, earning a Bachelor of Science from The Ohio State University. His expertise is in primary and behavioral health care integration, health equity, and community based mental health care service provision and policy. In private practice, Dan specializes in culturally responsive mental health care services from a strength’s-based perspective and is also an EMDR Therapist. He is passionate about offering affirming mental health care for LGBTQIA communities and those from marginalized populations.
Before joining the faculty, Dan earned his Ph.D. from the Boston University School of Social Work, and also earned his Master’s in Social Work and Public Health from Boston University. He spent over a decade in the greater Boston area working in integrated primary and behavioral healthcare, community practice and also consulting on projects such as implementation of community health worker training programs in mental and behavioral health, and the creation and implementation of peer based mental health supports during the COVID-19 pandemic.
