Call For Proposals
The 2020 Ohio Prevention Conference (OPC) Committee is seeking proposals for our upcoming conference, taking place June 29 – July 1, 2020. It is the goal of the OPC to expand the opportunities for prevention practitioners to receive knowledge on cutting-edge prevention science, increase competency in the selection and implementation of evidence-based practices, enhance collaborative and collective impact efforts, and provide opportunities for sharing and networking of prevention efforts across the state founded in cultural competency and equity. The target audience for this conference includes public and private providers and administrators of behavioral health entities, health departments, educators, social workers and others working with children and families.
The committee invites proposals addressing the following topics across the lifespan:
- Administration and supervision
- Child welfare
- Collective impact
- Diversity and inclusion
- Gambling prevention
- Mental health promotion
- Organizational leadership
- Science of prevention
- Suicide prevention
- Trends in substance misuse (cannabis, vaping, etc)
