Kate Roush is a licensed independent social worker and infant mental health practitioner.  She is also a double alumna of The Ohio State University holding a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and a Master of Social Work.  Before joining the College of Social Work as an Assistant Clinical Professor she served as a community lecturer for 10 years and has taught courses across the undergraduate and master’s curriculum.

As a social worker her clinical focus has been children and families with an emphasis on infant and early childhood mental health.  In this field Kate has worked as a dyadic family therapist, an early childhood mental health consultant and has supervised and supported the regional and statewide implementations of evidence based parenting supports aimed at reducing child abuse and neglect.  She has post graduate training in Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Child Parent Psychotherapy, Triple P, Chicago Parent Program and Reflective Supervision.
