Dr. Elinam Dellor conducts research on biological, social, and behavioral mechanisms that link childhood adversity to chronic health conditions in adulthood. Her current research focuses on understanding persistent health disparities among child welfare-involved families. This includes 1) substance misuse and maladaptive parenting, 2) the use of technology to meet service needs of child welfare-involved families and 3) immune system dysregulation (C-reactive protein) among adults with a history of childhood trauma. She currently directs the federally funded Enhancing Permanency in Children and Families (EPIC) program, a community-based intervention designed to holistically address substance misuse and associated parenting needs for child welfare involved families.
