Rebecca Dillard is a first year student in the joint MSW/PhD program. She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Pittsburgh. During her time as an undergraduate, she partook in research surrounding community-based treatment for juvenile sexual offenders, neuroscience and development in relation to childhood depression, and conducted ethnographic research surrounding sexual harassment policy and educational program implementation at the institutional level – which culminated into her honors thesis. Dillard was awarded a University Fellowship for the 2015-2016 academic year from The Ohio State University. She plans to continue engaging in research concerned with juvenile sexual offenders, particularly focused on risk and protective factors.
