Kaitlin received her Bachelors and Masters in Social Work from The Ohio State University, and she is a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW). Throughout her time in school and in her work since she has been actively involved in the anti-trafficking efforts in Columbus, partnering with The Salvation Army, She Has a Name, Gracehaven, CATCH Court, and other organizations at various points. For almost the past two years she has worked as a therapist at Amethyst, providing individual and group treatment for women who are survivors of sex trafficking. She has also had the opportunity to travel extensively to Europe, Southeast Asia, and South America, and is interested in international social work and specifically global efforts to fight sex trafficking. Kaitlin wants to focus in her research on trauma bonding and effective interventions for complex trauma, particularly sexual trauma.
