Education Abroad

EDUCATION ABROAD WITH SOCIAL WORK 

Education abroad is international, cross-cultural learning that will change your life. Prepare yourself for the global work environment by gaining an expanded worldview and new skills for understanding others’ and your own culture.

2019 PROGRAM IN  INDIA
India – Social Work in India with a Focus on Health and Mental Health – With a focus on health and mental health, students will be introduced to the history, culture and society of India.  The program field trips include visits to sites of cultural and historic importance and local health and mental health agencies.  The program is based in Bangalore and Chennai in the southern part of India.

SCHOLARSHIPS FOR SOCIAL WORK STUDENTS
Apply by March 18 

College of Social Work students who are accepted to participate in a College of Social Work study abroad program or another approved study abroad program or international research or internship program are eligible to apply for the Students First – Social Work Student Study Abroad Scholarship (click for form). This scholarship provides a small award, approximately $300 to $900, to help cover study abroad expenses.
