Licensure Review for Social Workers

Review content and strategies to pass the Bachelor and Clinical licensure exam. This training provides you with face-to-face presenter instruction a five-volume study guide. Review materials are purchased through AATBS (www.aatbs) and retail for over $300! OSU social work students receive a registration discount. All content has been revised to reflect the changes in the Ohio Social Worker rules and provides you with access to multiple online, full-length practice tests in study and exam modes. PLEASE NOTE, these trainings fill quickly and seating is first come, first serve. You must attend the entire training to receive the training materials. We cannot make any exceptions to this policy. Early registration fees end 10 days prior to the training. Fee waivers are not permissible for this training.  By the end of this training, participants will be able to:

  • Identify several test taking strategies that can be applied to the licensure exam
  • Review questions that allow you to assess your learning and comprehension of information after studying
  • Craft your own study plan for the exam

Meet your presenter: Jorie Schwartz, MSW, LISW-S. Jorie Schwartz has been a social worker in Columbus for nearly 18 years. She is a graduate from the MSW program at The Ohio State University and has worked primarily in the areas of community mental health, school-based and after school prevention, and early childhood development. She has supervised staff as a program coordinator at Concord Counseling and as a program manager at Directions for Youth and Families. For most of her career she has also been a field instructor for student interns. She was a field coordinator at The OSU College of Social Worker and is currently a liaison and faculty member at Columbus State Community College in the Mental Health/Addiction Studies/Developmental Disabilities Program. She has facilitated trainings for social workers on the subject of supervision and other topics for the past five years.
