Career Coaching

The Career Services Office offers individual career coaching appointments for social work students and alumni. Our careers team, which includes staff and graduate student interns, will help you clarify your goals, provide you with tools and resources for the job market, and help you identify a social work career pathway.

To make an appointment, log-in to your Handshake account, click “Career Center,” select “College of Social Work Career Services” and click “Appointments.” From there, you will be able to schedule an appointment with a SWK career coach.

All Ohio State undergraduate, graduate, professional and post-doctoral students have free access to Handshake through their @osu.edu email address. For questions regarding your Handshake access, please email handshake@osu.edu.

*Please note that if you require any accommodations such as live captioning or interpretation, please contact cswcareers@osu.edu. Requests made two weeks before the will generally allow us to provide seamless access, but the university will make every effort to meet requests made after this date.
