MSW student Emily Cammeyer was celebrated on Nov. 5, by her colleagues and community for founding the Love and Hugs Program for Zusman Hospice.

Congratulations to Dr. Michelle Kaiser and PhD candidate Ritika Kurup—both received 2025-26 University Outreach and Engagement grants with Kaiser also being selected for the Engaged Scholars Academy.

Ohio State students Todd Lee, a junior social work major, and Eric Bailey, an engineering technology major, are making a difference in Ohio State’s sustainability through their recent introduction of beehives to the Larry R. Yoder Prairie Learning Laboratory.

Congratulations to MSW student Hanna Kancherla who was recently interviewed on Cleveland’s WKYC-TV Channel 3 news for her advocacy work. She spoke about House Bill 29, a bill that would ensure adequate supply of feminine hygiene products and other menstrual necessities to incarcerated women in Ohio.

Congratulations to PhD candidate Eric Sowers (MSW ’21) who has received the 2024-25 Outstanding Graduate/Professional Student Award and the 2024-25 Outstanding Veteran Student Award from the Office of Student Life, Leadership and Community Engagement.

Congratulations to PhD Candidate Fiona Doherty whose dissertation research led to a community photo exhibit in the Nelsonville Public Library in Nelsonville, Ohio, highlighting her participatory photo mapping study.
