Congratulations to alumna Katie White (MSW ‘20) who has been selected as a 2025 YWCA Women on the Rise.

When Ohio State launched the Time and Change campaign, we set bold aspirations for participation and impact. For the past eight years, this campaign has fundamentally shaped how we build long-term relationships with our supporters.

On Wednesday, June 4, the College of Social Work and Community Shelter Board invite you to join visiting professor, Dr. Gregg Colburn, for a presentation and moderated discussion about housing-related issues in the United States. In this event, community members will take part in conversations about housing insecurity issues present in central Ohio, as well as engage in creating applicable solutions

On Friday, May 2, over 600 social work graduates and their loved ones celebrated their accomplishments at the college’s 2025 Evening of Recognition. This year’s ceremony took place at The Ohio State University’s Schottenstein Center, where students were at the front and center of this well-known event venue.

Congratulations to Byron Roush who has received the 2025 Distinguished Staff Award from The Ohio State University—the university’s highest staff recognition.

This year’s Field Breakfast Awards honored the hard work and dedication of the college’s many agency collaborators, as well as their contributions to the social work profession.

Hosted by the College of Social Work, the Evening of Recognition is an annual event that celebrates the countless accomplishments of this year’s graduation candidates earning BSSW, MSW, and PhD degrees from The Ohio State University.

In the summer of 2023, a group of 25 teachers and staff members from Dublin City Schools (DCS) began a rigorous two-year program that would end with participants receiving a master’s degree in social work from The Ohio State University and a job with a DCS school as a mental health specialist. They are graduating in May.
