Congratulations to Dr. Joyce Lee who has been elected as a director-at-large for the Society for Social Work and Research (SSWR). Lee will serve a three-year term running from March 2025 through January 2028.
In this new role, Lee will continue work on new strategic directions for SSWR, making an important contribution to the organization and the profession.
“I am honored to have been elected as a Director-At-Large of the Society for Social Work and Research (SSWR),” says Lee. “My deepest gratitude goes to everyone who entrusted me with their vote, and to Dean David Jenkins, Shannon Jarrott and Justin Harty (external colleague) for their nominations. I look forward to collaborating with fellow board members to advance SSWR’s Strategic goals and thus strengthen the social work profession in the areas of research, education and practice.”
SSWR’s vision is to advance, disseminate and translate research that addresses issues of social work practice and policy and promotes a diverse, just and equitable society. Established in 1994, it is a non‐profit, professional membership organization supporting social workers, social welfare professionals, social work students, social work faculty and researchers in related fields.
