The Ohio State University Board of Trustees recently approved several CSW faculty promotions and reappointments.
Congratulations to Dr. Jacquelyn Meshelemiah and Dr. Samantha Bates for their recent promotions. Dr. Meshelemiah has been promoted to professor and Dr. Bates has been promoted to associate professor with tenure, effective May 21.
“I want to extend a heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Meshelemiah and Dr. Bates for earning these important milestones in their academic careers,” notes Dean Jenkins. “It is thrilling to see the hard work of our faculty acknowledged through promotion. I couldn’t be prouder of their success.”
In addition, Dr. Joyce Lee and Dr. Smitha Rao were successfully reappointed for a fifth probationary year.
Promotions and reappointments recognize these faculty members’ excellence in the areas of teaching, research and creative accomplishments and service.
In August, the College of Social Work will acknowledge these accomplishments at the CSW Celebration. Newly tenured faculty are also invited by the university to select a book or eBook to be book-plated with their name and added to the University Libraries’ holdings.
