Congratulations to Theresa Hazelwood, MSW program director, who has been recognized by Ohio State’s University Staff Advisory Committee (USAC) for her many contributions to the university.
A third-year USAC member, Hazelwood is profiled in its Staff in the Spotlight and chairs the committee’s Success Subcommittee. According to USAC, Hazelwood demonstrates an unwavering commitment to community building, making her an exceptional and compassionate leader who creates a supportive workplace aligning with Ohio State’s shared values.
Additionally, Hazelwood was recognized in December by Mental Health America of Ohio as its POEM Peer Mentor Support Volunteer of the Year.
“I am truly honored to be recognized by USAC and with the Volunteer of the Year Award from POEM for my contributions and service,” says Hazelwood. “These awards reflect the incredible opportunities I’ve had to support our community, foster inclusion and promote excellence within the College of Social Work and beyond. I am deeply grateful for the support of my colleagues, students and the college. They continue to inspire and motivate me every day.”
