Bio
Keith Warren’s scholarship focuses on mutual aid based programs, those in which people with a problem help others with similar problems. Mutual aid based programs include therapeutic communities for substance abuse and criminal behavior, twelve step programs and other self-help groups, and clubhouse programs for people with severe and persistent mental illness. Dr. Warren is currently applying social network analysis to understand the interpersonal interactions in these programs, with a dual focus on illuminating program processes and linking processes to outcomes. The ultimate goal of this research is to develop interventions to increase program effectiveness.
