You have a story. Tell it to Congress.

D.C. Career Impact Week offers social work students a blend of structured programming and independent time to explore Washington, D.C. The experience includes visits with social work professionals, networking opportunities, and insights into policy and advocacy work in the nation’s capital. In preparation for the trip, students participate in three training sessions designed to help them make the most of the experience.

The 2026 trip will be during spring break week.

ACCOMODATIONS:

CSW covers the cost of hotel accommodations and meals outlined in the itinerary. CSW also provides a travel scholarship to help cover transportation costs (such as flights or gas) and meals not included in the itinerary. While students are responsible for arranging their own travel, CSW coordinates group lodging.

This is a competitive leadership program open to both undergraduate and graduate students. Applicants must complete an application and participate in an interview.
