Wellness for All!
This training will focus on current trends in the field of wellness, recent research on wellness will be discussed and participants will learn new ways to manage stress. The focus will be on wellness at work and with employment as part of the road to wellness. We will discuss factors contributing to wellness on an individual level and an environmental level. Wellness lifestyles will be reviewed and will include theories on optimism, psycho/neuro-immunology, positive psychology, positive denial, attribution theory and authentic happiness. Information about utilizing Wellness Recovery Action Plans will be discussed as part of a personal wellness plan that incorporates wellness at work. We will close with coping strategies, a discussion of the six areas of work life and a plan for what individuals can do to promote their own wellness.
Participants will have learned at the completion of this training:
Betsy Nofziger, LISW-S has over 20 years of experience in the field of rehabilitation. She is the Senior Program Consultant at COVA (Center of Vocational Alternatives) responsible for training, quality improvement and supervising 3 Employment Peer Specialists who provide vocational services to persons with mental illness and other disabilities. Betsy has presented extensively on vocational rehabilitation at the local, state and national level
