This training will include facts about homelessness, a homeless individual telling his story and a simulated experience of homelessness that involves participants taking on the role of a homeless person for an hour.
Racel Buccione is an education coordinator with Columbus Coalition for the Homeless since March 2009. Rachel gives similar presentations to any interested groups. education@columbushomeless.org
At the conclusion of this training, participants will:
• Learn causes of homelessness, challenges faced by homeless and barriers to escaping homelessness.
• Empathise wtih homeless individuals.
• Feel empowered to do something about homelessness.
