The primary goal of this workshop is to help participants achieve better results through the development of more effective supervisory and interpersonal skills. This begins with an understanding and acceptance of two key ideas: all people are different; and people’s attitudes and behavior in identical situations vary.
Using a self-assessment instrument, participants will learn how to observe, assess, understand, and utilize individual differences in people and then apply this understanding to their day to day interactions as a supervisor.
At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to . . . .
Possess an awareness of personal work style differences and how these preferences affect relationships, interactions with others, leadership, conflict resolution, etc.
Appreciate the differences of others
Know techniques for improving communication and reducing unproductive interpersonal conflict
Assess individual strengths and blind-spots and develop an Action Plan for improving leadership effectiveness
Know the four 'situational leadership' styles and how these correlate with work styles
