Participants will receive a full day training that will cover different treatment modalities for addicts and alcoholics that include :behavioral, cognitive behavioral, and motivation interviewing styles.  These methods will be discussed by introducing concepts and how these concepts would be applied to an individual or group setting.  Many tools and techniques will be covered for the beginner, intermediate or advanced substance abuse clinician.  These hours can be used for treatment, individual or group counseling for the CDCA.

Meet Your Presenter: Jennifer Haywood, is full-time staff and lecturer at The Ohio State University. She has had a contract as a therapist at Counseling and Consultation Services at OSU and is currently contracting with Matrix Psychological Services conducting drug and alcohol assessments and providing individual therapy for mental health and/or chemical dependency issues with adults and adolescents. Jennifer also has her own private practice and is a well-respected trainer, specializing in Alcohol/Drug issues, Dual Diagnosis assessment and treatment, and DSM-IV-TR training
