I Hate Writing

Writing is a standard form of communication in most work environments, yet it presents many challenges for most professionals. Whether the struggle is with spelling, grammar, brevity or detail, when the writing isn’t solid, the outcome can range from poor communication and frustration to costly mistakes and reduced success.

This training will provide simple strategies for various types of writing, tools for daily use, and rules to follow to improve any piece of writing.

Participants will learn:
1.    Learn writing strategies and tips.
2.    Identify writing challenges.
3.    Utilize easily accessible writing and editing tools.

Presenter Jim Ryan is an Ohio Certified Prevention Specialist II with more than 25 years experience in alcohol, tobacco and other drug abuse prevention and working with youth and communities. He is also co-founder and former publisher/editor of Outlook, a newspaper targeting the gay community in Greater Columbus. Jim is president of Ryan Training & Consultation and provides services to school systems, organizations, businesses and other groups throughout the United States.
