This training does fulfill the board supervision OR Ethics requirement: You cannot use this training for BOTH Ethics and Supervision

This three (3) hour workshop describes ethical principles for supervisors, the doctrine of vicarious liability: respondeat superiore, how to conduct an ethics audit, helpful supervision practices, supervision power and basic rules of conduct to pass on to supervisees.

Learning Objectives:
  • Increase understanding of ethical principles supervision;
  • The doctrine of vicarious liability: respondeat superiore,
  • How to conduct an ethics audit
  • Supervisory practices; and
  •  Power of the supervisor role and rules for conduct to pass on to supervisees.

Linda Helm, MSW, ACSW, LISW-S has worked as a social worker since 1978. She is a Ph. D. Candidate and the Campus Coordinator for the College of Social Work’s Child Welfare Training Program.
