This workshop presents, in an entertaining and thought-provoking manner, ethical issues that clinicians may encounter in working with their clients. Issues include boundary violations, safety issues, transference and counter-transference, report-writing, secondary trauma, and duty to report crimes/abuse. Scenarios will be presented along with suggestions for handling these situations. This workshop meets the State of Ohio Counselor and Social Worker and Marital and Family Therapist Board requirement for 3 CEU’s for Ethics.
Objectives:
- Participants will learn to identify and treat boundary violations and personal safety issues in working with their clients.
- Participants will learn to recognize transference and counter-transference issues in the therapeutic relationship.
- Participants will more fully understand the statutes for duty to warn, or duty to report abuse.

Lisa has provided training for: Ohio State University, College of Social Work, Franklin County Municipal Probation Department, the Franklin County Adult Probation Department, Ohio Corrections and Court Services Association and the Midwest Regional Hostage Negotiators Conference; Lisa is a member of the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers.
