Effective Group Counseling
Group therapy is a powerful, cost effective, therapeutic tool and a valuable asset to any therapist practicing today. This beginner level workshop is designed for social workers and counselors who are interested in learning about group processes and want to sharpen their skills in leading an on-going therapy group. This workshop will incorporate a didactic teaching style with group discussions and experimental learning. Willing volunteers will also be invited to participate in a simulated group demonstration: a way of expressing group processes as they unfold in a safe educational environment.
