One of the challenges of working in the helping professions is maintaining one's own physical, emotional and spiritual health. the helping professional who practices from a place of authenticity is better equipped to provide quality, effective services, while at the same time, monitoring one's own self-care.
Participants will have leanred at the completion of this training:
1) Tools and methods for listening to one's own internal wisdom and integrate this inofmration in the professional role
2) Develop a plan for monitoring and addressing the self-care needs of the helping professional
3) Learn strategies to teach consumers how to develop a clearer understanding of their own authenticity
Kathy Ritchey, PhD, is a psychologist in private practice. Her practice is focused on empowering individuals to live healthier more fulfilling lives. Specialties include: GLBT issues, relationship difficulties, depression, anxiety, women’s issues, sexual abuse and other childhood trauma.
