Adults and children: Parents, mentors, and role models – If we give adults the tools they need, they will take care of the kids for us. Many of our consumers and clients – and more than a few of us professionals who provide services to them – can benefit from tools and information about everything from stages of childhood development to trends and language used among current teenagers. As human services professionals, we can help adults we interact with to increase their knowledge and skills in ways that will directly benefit the children in their lives, whether their own kids, extended family, or even the neighbor kid down the street. This training will provide tangible tools and resources that can be easily utilized by any adult who cares about a child.
