ADHD: Differential Diagnosis & Neuropsychological Disorders
ADHD, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, can be a hidden factor in a variety of other problems, not just school failure, but also explosive anger, social problems and conduct problems such as stealing. Problems such as family chaos, pediatric bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, Asperger’s disorder, or watching too much video, may also be hidden behind the symptoms that appear at first to be ADHD. We will work today to deepen our understanding of ADHD, learning about the brain, body, attention, judgment, emotional regulation, and other differences associated with the disorder. This will include an examination of medications and other interventions.
Participants will have learned at the completion of this training:
Jim Foley has 20 years of experience working with children, adults, and families. Jim has helped clients with emotional, developmental, behavioral, cognitive, learning, and relationship problems; provided counseling/therapy in homes, at agencies, and in schools from kindergarten through college; and presents workshops on a variety of topics.
