We will briefly reflect on the history of prevention in order to identify what effective prevention is NOT. We will then explore the current state of prevention, accepted definitions and promising approaches currently in use.

Objectives:

1.    Gain an understanding of what prevention is NOT.

2.    Explore promising approaches currently in use.

3.    Discuss where we go from here to shape the future of prevention.
