In the current political and economic environment it is more difficult than ever for sex offenders and other felons to re-enter their communities.  This workshop will describe the effects of re-entry on this population and suggest ideas on how to assist them in successfully transitioning back to their communities.

 Objectives:

1. Participants will be able to site research studies showing the impacts of registration law on sex offenders

2.  Participants will understand the impact of employment, housing and other issues on the successful treatment and re-integration of sex offenders

3.  Participants will be able to assist clients in developing safety plans that allow for basic needs to be met and high risks to be avoided
