Faculty Research Making Headlines

With years of recognized research under their belts, social work faculty have a wide range of expertise ranging from eldercare to youth development, addictions to domestic violence, and children and families to social justice. As cornerstones of our top-ranked program, the college’s 29 full-time faculty members are respected nationally and abroad and their work crosses all disciplines.

Dr. Sharvari Karandikar-Chheda and PhD student Lindsay Gezinski, research included in report submitted to Ohio Attorney General Richard Cordray on the prevalence of human trafficking in Ohio. Karandikar-Chheda was also featured in The Ohio State University's newspaper onCampus.

Dr. Rudolph Alexander, Jr., was quoted in an ABC news story on June 7. The story, titled “Va. Inmate sues after gruesome tries at sex change,” was written by Associated Press reporter, Dena Potter.
