Social Work Professor, Dr. Mo Yee Lee, in partnership with Dr. Amy Zaharlick of Anthropology and and Dr. Deborah Akers of Anthropology, Miami University, is studying the effects of meditation on female trauma survivors who are in alcohol and drug recovery programs.

Dr. Tom Gregoire, Associate Dean and Associate Professor, is conducting a three year evaluation of two evidence-based community interventions with adolescents who are abusing alcohol and other drugs.  The two interventions are being implemented with two client populations: youth enrolled directly from the community and youth enrolled following residential substance abuse treatment.  Participants complete four administrations of the Global Appraisal of Individuals' Needs over a 12 month period.

Dr. Theresa Early, Associate Professor of Social Work, is working on a conceptual and empirical validation study of the Choices' Risk Indicator List.

Associate Professor, Dr. Keith Warren, is engaged in research about how peer support enhances recovery in residential treatment centers for addictive behavior.
