Drs. Holly Dabelko-Schoeny and Keith Anderson with assistance from MSW student Katie Spinks developed a civic engagement intervention for participants at Heritage Day Health Centers. The intervention is intended to allow this special group of older adults to fulfill meaningful roles in their communities and to enhance feelings of self-esteem, usefulness, and overall well-being. Drs. Dabelko-Schoeny and Anderson are in the process of evaluating the benefits of the project for participants' quality of life. Their work was recently featured on NBC 4 News;
