Introduction
Dr Rindfleisch was a faculty member in the College of Social Work (aka School) from 1964-1994. During this period, he served at various times as a full time field instructor in Casework in Public Assistance, as well as classroom instruction. He saw service on numerous thesis and dissertation committees as a member and as chair.
Outside the classroom, he served as Coordinator of Graduate Recruitment and Admissions (1970-72), Director of the Bachelor's Program (1986-89), Director of the Doctoral Program (1991-94) and as College representative to the Graduate Council (1992-94)
Nolan initiated steps to propose and secure approval of an Honors Program in the BSSW program. He collaborated in efforts to refocus the Doctoral Symposium on Dissertation Research in Social Work and thereby secured the continuance of this national College project. Invited by students to be a society advisor, he became the charer member of Alpha Delta Mu, Social Work Honor Society.
