Before joining the College of Social Work faculty at OSU, Dr. Rosner had enjoyed a career in the Foreign Service working as a Senior United Nations Advisor for over a decade. As a multi-linguist his assignments took him to a variety of locations in Asia and Africa. Dr. Rosner joined the faculty as a professor and chairperson of the Social Policy and Planning sequence. He served as Associate Dean of the College from 1978 – 81, then returned to full time teaching in social policy and social planning and served as coordinator of the Joint Degree Program with City and Regional Planning. Earlier in his adventurous life, Dr. Rosner had served in the U.S. Army Intelligence Service in the European Theater from r1943-1945 and remained in Germany until 1952 where he was involved in government reconstruction work involving socio-economic planning, industrial development, community organization and rehabilitation processing of ethnic German refugees.
