CAREER ACCELERATION PLAN

Program Overview

The Career Acceleration Plan (CAP) permits a limited number of students to complete the Bachelor of Science in Social Work required major courses in three semesters. This plan is offered by the college on a selective basis to students who have maintained at least a 3.0 cumulative point hour ratio; have extensive internship, volunteer or work experience in the human services field; demonstrate clearly defined social work career goals; and have completed a majority of the General Education requirements. Application Process

To apply to CAP, please submit the following documents to the CAP Application Site:

  • Personal Statement
  • Degree Audit (current OSU students) or Unofficial Transcript (students transferring from another institution)
  • Academic Letter of Reference

CAP applications are accepted September 1st October 1st. Applications received beyond the October 1st deadline will be considered if space permits. Students will be notified of an admission decision by October 31st, and accepted students will begin the major in the Spring Semester.
