About the Robinson Award

Established by Anna Marie Robinson (MSW '66), this scholarship provides financial support for research of severe mental disabilities, particulary bi-polar disorder. Candidates should have demonstrated academic excellence and acquired life experiences in bi-polar disorder.

Award Presentation

The Anna Marie Malia Robinson scholarship is awarded at the Scholarship Luncheon in May at the Faculty Club.

Award Eligibility

Doctoral student or candidate in Social Work planning to carry out a dissertation focusing on mental health, preferably bi-polar disorder.

Nomination Deadline and Nomination Packet

Deadline:  April 2010

  • Nominee's name
  • Brief statement of student status (quarter of candidacy exam, dissertation proposal approval, etc.)
  • How student's research applies to severe mental disabilities/bi-polar disorder
  • Current Advising Report
