Your field practicum will consist of three consecutive quarters in a social service agency, beginning either summer or autumn quarter of your senior year. You will spend 15 hours per week at your field agency and will receive 18 credit hours for the field practicum. Field practicum allows students an opportunity to combine theoretical knowledge with skill acquisition as they learn to conduct themselves in a professional manner in actual practice situations.
You also have the opportunity to complete an Individual Study in an area of interest not available through regular course enrollment. You and a faculty sponsor will structure, design and implement a course of study.
