About the Undergraduate Social Work Program
Welcome to The Ohio State University College of Social Work! You have made a wise decision to consider OSU for your education, for social work has a long and rich tradition here. In 1875 we offered our first social work courses, and we conveyed our first Bachelor of Social Service degree in 1916. Accredited in 1919, Ohio State is the country’s oldest continuously accredited public social work program.
The Undergraduate Social Work Program at The Ohio State University prepares students to assume beginning professional roles as direct service practitioners in social welfare organizations, and lays the foundation for further social work education at the graduate level.
The Ohio State University ranks among the best universities in the country. The university offers undergraduate students a wealth of resources.
