Financial aid consists of scholarships and grants, loans and part-time employment. The university makes every effort within its means to help all students with limited financial resources secure the needed funds.
Early and realistic financial planning is essential to ensure that you will have adequate resources to be able to attend Ohio State and take advantage of the many experiences that the university offers. The Office of Student Financial Aid helps students and their families on all our campuses plan for financing a college education; therefore, if you have financial concerns we invite you to seek assistance from the Office of Student Financial Aid before changing your educational goals.
Scholarships can come from different sources and have various awarding criteria. Ohio State offers numerous institutional scholarships for incoming freshmen and enrolled students. Ohio State students also receive a wide array of scholarships from external donors and outside resources.
Social Work Scholarships: The College of Social Work awards several scholarships to its students each year. Scholarships average $1500 annually. Scholarships are not renewed from year to year. Applicants must reapply annually. To apply for a Social Work scholarship, view the list of scholarships available and complete the scholarship application (available for download winter quarter 2010). The application will be due to the College of Social Work Development Office at the beginning of March. The exact date will be posted here at the start of winter quarter. Both current and prospective students are welcome to apply.
