A: Students should have a natural interest in human behavior and respect for diversity. Good listening skills, empathy, and self awareness are also important. You can learn about the profession on the web at the National Association of Social Workers. You may also want to start by getting involved in helping your community. You can find many ways to become active in the Columbus area on the FirstLink website. A: There are a wide variety of groups and organizations in the College of Social Work and OSU has over 800 different organizations students can be involved in! Check all of them out online.
