Career Acceleration Program (CAP)

Overview

The Undergraduate Social Work program permits a limited number of students to enter the Career Acceleration Plan, which allows completion of the major in one year (four quarters).

CAP Program Criteria

In order to apply to the CAP program, you must meet the following criteria prior to beginning the social work major in spring quarter: 
 

  • Complete the pre-major required course work.
  • Earn a minimum of 120 credit hours.
  • Earn a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0.
  • Have extensive volunteer or work experience assisting individuals, groups, or communities in need.
     

 The CAP application will be available here in December. The CAP application deadline is February 1.
