This supervision training meets the new state licensing requirements for social work supervision.

The third training focuses on relational and ethical issues in supervision.  It is suggested that participants have completed trainings 080321 and 080418 before registering for this training.  Appropriate self-disclosure, transference in supervision, informed consent, dual-relationships, impaired professionals, cross-cultural and ethical issues will be covered. Training 080516 may count as three hours of supervision or as three hours of ethics but cannot count as both.

Presenters: Vicki L. Fitts, Ph.D., LISW-S, has worked in a variety of fields including family therapy, developing training programs for non-profit organizations and has held teaching positions for the last eight years at Cuyahoga Community College, The Ohio State University, and currently is a visiting professor at Cleveland State.  Her area of study is the resiliency and retention of social workers in our profession.

Charlene Nevil-English, LISW-S, LICDC, has taught a number of social work classes for both The Ohio State University and Ohio University.  She has served as the Early Childhood Programs Manager for Directions for Youth & Families, Clinical Supervisor of Adolescent Services for Maryhaven and is currently the Director of Clinical Services for Consolidated Care, Inc.
