PARKING MAP AND DIRECTIONS

Stress is the number one killer in the world today. Current medical research is linking it to be a cause of all the major diseases in the world, such as, heart attack, stroke, cancer, diabetes, autoimmune diseases and premature aging. Stress not only causes these diseases, it also impedes the effectiveness of treatment provided by a practitioner. The simplest reason is that in times of stress the body becomes stiff and rigid thereby cutting off critical blood supply to the parts of the body that need it most.

This training will focus on totally defining and giving participants a clear understanding and definition of consciousness, introduce simple exercises that will give the practitioner an experience of the state of consciousness, discuss and elaborate on how our brain creates thoughts, and the impact stressful thoughts have on the limbic system.

Preliminary research results of the randomized study of Mindfulness, Yoga and Cardiovascular Disease sponsored by The Cleveland Clinic Foundation (begun in June 2008) will be shared.
