This training presents definitions of the most common paraphilias seen in clinical practice or probation supervision and how they may interact with each other or lead to other sexual offending behaviors.  The concept of “crossover sex offending” will also be presented.  Treatment techniques for clinical practice as well as for probation supervision will be suggested.

Participants will learn by the conclusion of this training:

 

· Learn to recognize and diagnose the paraphilias

· Demonstrate a greater understanding of the concept of “crossover sex offending”

· Learn treatment or supervision techniques that they may incorporate into their treatment of paraphilas
