BSSW ProgramAbout the Undergraduate Studies ProgramThe Undergraduate Studies Program at the Ohio State University prepares students to assume beginning professional roles as direct service practitioners in social welfare organizations, and lays the foundation for further social work education at the graduate level. Students must complete the pre-professional requirements during their freshman and sophomore years prior to entering the College of Social Work (91-101 credit hours). The professional program is then completed during the junior and senior years. Students must complete required courses and electives for a minimum graduation total of 180 credit hours. The program is fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. The Ohio State University ranks among the best universities in the country. The university offers undergraduate students a wealth of resources.
