Reunion Weekend 2009

The College of Social Work Alumni Society is excited to announce that September 11-13, 2009 will be the University Reunion Weekend.  On Saturday, September 12th Ohio State will play the Trojans from University of Southern California (USC).

TIME:          3:30 – 5:30 PM
COST:         $23.00 Tailgate for only
                     $90.00 Tailgate and Game Ticket (OSU vs. USC)
                               (Limit two tickets per member or per household)

Tickets will only be available to those alumni who are dues-paying members of BOTH our Social Work Alumni Society and the OSU Alumni Association, Inc. and must be purchased with our tailgate event. You are limited to two tickets per household, not per membership.  It is our desire to maximize the number of alumni who can attend Reunion Weekend. The person purchasing the tickets must be the person who uses the tickets. Anyone caught reselling their tickets may lose future rights to purchase football tickets through the Alumni Associaiton and our Society.

Alumni who receive season tickets via President's Club, Buckeye Club, Faculty/Staff, Varsity O Men football or long-time season ticket purchase holders WILL NOT be eligible to receive tickets through the Society for Reunion Weekend.

Alumni who receive tickets to the USC game through the Alumni Association's lottery will not be eligible to receive tickets through the SWK Alumni Society but may join us for the tailgate. All applications will be double-checked with the University databases to insure compliance to this policy.

We hope you will join us for the Social Work Alumni Tailgate, September 12th which will take place at 115 Stillman Hall, McMillin Room, 1947 College Road, from 3:30 to 5:30 PM,   which will also give you time to attend the OSU Marching Band Skull Session which starts at 6:00 PM at St. John Arena.  The Skull Session is free, seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.

We expect the demand for this game to exceed the Society’s ticket allocation; therefore, ticket requests must be received by August 3.  Ticket requests will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis until our ticket allocation is depleted.  A letter will be sent August 10 to all social work alumni society members who requested tickets as to whether we are holding two tickets for you or not.  Checks will be returned to alumni whose requests could not be filled.

The Society member purchasing the tickets must be the person who uses the tickets. Anyone caught reselling their tickets may lose future rights to purchase football tickets through the Alumni Association and our Society. 

If you acquire tickets to this game via other sources, we ask that you refrain from ordering Society tickets, but ask you to join your fellow alumni and us at the tailgate.

NOTE:  All tailgate and football tickets will be available for pick-up in the lobby of Stillman Hall, 1947 N. College Road throughout the tailgate event but must be picked up by game time (8:00 PM) at Stillman Hall.  Seat location will not be known until the Ticket Office releases the tickets usually three weeks before the game.

MEMBERSHIP:  Your Social Work Alumni Society annual dues may be paid at this time.  If you do not plan to attend the game, but wish to renew your membership to the Social Work Alumni Society, please complete the Alumni Profile on the Reservation Form and enclose your check for $25.  Contributions to the Social Work Alumni Scholarship Fund, # 600043 may also be made at this time.
