Thank you to all that contributed. OSU collected 4396 pounds of nonperishable food items during our challenge week, and all items were given to the Mid-Ohio food bank on friday, November 20. UM collected 2368 pounds of nonperishal food items. Combined results generated 6764 pounds of food and monetary donations totaled $813.45. No doubt the 2010 competition will be equally successful.
For more than a year, society members have donated non-perishable food in lieu of paying a registration fee to attend the professional trainings and film fest events. To date, the membership donated just over 300 pounds of food to the pantries.
During last week’s Feed the Need Challenge between Ohio State and the University of Michigan, the college delivered to the Mid-Ohio Food Bank 486 lbs of non-perishable food items of which the alumni and students donated 180 lbs 11 oz. Way to go Buckeyes!
