Alumni Hall of Fame
The College of Social Work seeks to recognize the distinguished accomplishments of extraordinary alumni who personify the meaning of the titile "social worker" and have achieved excellence in the human and public services, in higher education, or, most importantly, in the alleviation of the conditions that threaten the human condition, and whose achievements embody the highest standards of our profession.
Award Categories
Distinguished Career Award
Awarded to alumni for exceptional professional achievements, initiatives, or leadership in one or more of the following areas: Practice/clinical excellence, community development, advocacy, education, or administration.
Distinguished Recent Alumnus/a Award
Awarded to an alumnus/a who graduated within the past ten years whose accomplishments exemplify outstanding professional achievements, initiatives, or leadership in one or more of the following areas: Practice/clinical excellence, community development, advocacy, education, or administration. Only one award may be presented annually.
2010 Nominations
Anyone may nominate an Ohio State College of Social Work graduate deserving of recognition; self nomiations are welcomed as well. Note the criteria of each award category and select the one most appropriate for your nominee. Document on a separate sheet of paper the ways your nominee meets the criteria for the award. In addition to your nomination form and personal statement, please include the nominee's resume and all additional information to support the nomination, e.g., letters of support, newspaper clippings, magazine articles, etc. Deadline for the 2010 award nominations is April 30, 2010.
