OSUAA honors Pamela Mayor

The College of Social Work Alumni Society President, Pamela Mayor, MSW ’01, received the 2010 Outstanding Alumni Leadership Award on October 8 at the annual Ohio State University Alumni Association (OSUAA) Leadership Conference.

Mayor began her service with the Social Work Alumni Society in 2001--first as a member at-large, then as First Vice President in 2004, and finally as society president for the past five years. Thanks to Mayor’s commitment, enthusiasm, energy, and leadership style, the Society Board developed year-round programming to engage alumni and students. OSUAA has recognized the board’s efforts by presenting the Social Work Alumni Society with an Outstanding Society Award in 2005, 2007, and 2009, and top honors in 2010, with a Medalist Award.

Mayor steps down in December as society president but will remain actively involved with the society, the college, and Ohio State because she is a “Buckeye” through and through.
